Bas Moreno Consulting is dedicated to providing the sandwich generation with tools to address their money and caregiving struggles. As a financial education company located in Middletown, Delaware, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every client. Basiliso (Bas) as affectionately is known, is a Certified Financial Social Worker and a Licensed Master of Social Work in the State of Delaware. With his certification in financial social work, Bas is able to serve individuals and organizations nation-wide.
Basiliso was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. A husband and father of 2. He moved to Delaware in 2020 and became a 1st Generation, homeowner in 2021.
Bas is also the producer and host of the highly rated social work podcast called, The Social Work Rants Podcast.
Bas is also a 2x published author. His debut book, Triumph Through Pain: How to Maximize Your Full Potential in Hard Times discusses grief, loss, self-awareness and financial education. The book ended up being a trauma response written after losing his mother and 10 social work clients as a result of Covid-19 in 2020.
Bas is a co-author of the award winning Latinx/E in Social Work Volume 2.
My Inspiration
As a full time member of the sandwich generation myself, I juggle the day to day responsibilities of caregiving for my father, running a business and my role as a father of 2. I want to normalize talking about the day to day struggles of caregiving. I want to normalize talking about life insurance and estate planning in our black and brown communities.

One Piece of Advice
If I could give the sandwich generation just one piece of advice about their financial future, it would be: Learn to heal your past money traumas. Give your family members grace. The discussion of Money and generation wealth was not meant for us black and brown folks.
